Saturday morning in London! cold+rain+gloomy skies= missing home! I dont necessarily miss Slidell but I miss my friends my car my family and just being to be free. I think i either wrote in my personal journal or on here that I loved London because of the freedom to do anything in another country. Almost like the first feeling you get when you get to college...but then you realize that it isnt that great and sometimes having things simple is the best. I mean I love it here and having so much to do all the time is wonderful but sometimes i would like to huddle in a little corner with a nice book with a great big bowl of soup and look out the window all day. I dont know why i feel so frustrated lately...Maybe it is the stress of London and the tube station and the fact that the police killed an innocent man...or the slight panic that comes over me when i see someone who looks suspicous with a bookbag. I love big cities i always thought I would live in one but the fast pace lifestyle and the decisions that has to be made every second makes me want to stay in that corner forever. I think that is why i loved paris so much, because even though it was huge city it felt like everyone was taking their time and you could just walk slower and appreciate life. humpf i know i sound dreadful and it really isnt that bad, but i have papers to write for class and Poli Sci I have to write about the news and right now all the news is depressing and this rain doesnt make things better. I miss Slidell because there are no worries other than occasional gossip or what is for dinner or did you hear so and so did this at Cross gates. I am totally a loner and the more people there are the more frustrating a big city is...28 people being together is just hectic, if i was here all by myself i think i would love 10 times more. so that is my story...that doesnt make any sense does it? ha oh well
On saturday we went to Camden Town...where they have 6 huge markets! pretty cool, great food. We then saw a play last night, the UN inspector! ehh it was alright but the wine before the play totally made everything better...today who knows what we will do...maybe nothign!?

Ok Wed night we went to a Comedy Club...and it was improv night! it was the funniest thing ever, it was just like Who's Line is it Anyway...but with a British accent! way cool! we were in the second row so they were right in our face. We also went to the London eye that afternoon, but it was cool but you know kinda boring. There really isnt much to see of London when you are that high up in the air.
Thursday was a little crazy. We had class then headed over to the War Cabinent Museum. It is where Churchill set up a secret hide out or work room during WWII. They closed it up after the war but reopened it and kept everything as it was. All the maps, tables, bed, phones, almost everything was the same. Pretty neat! Well before that we were on the tube...and all of a sudden it stopped, which has happened before but after everything that has happened it kind of made me nervous. Not to mention it is hot and i kinda felt faint with all the crowdedness. The driver came on and said we were waiting for another train to pass, which i have no idea what that means. We waited for about 5mins, and the driver came back on and said we had to evacuate at the next stop because of an emergency. Well for some reason that didnt really scare me but when the doors opened and everyone started to run out and up the 2 long ass escalators i kind of got nervous. But i mean as of then i had no idea what was going on i just thought maybe someone left a bag and they were just be extra careful. We get to the museum and Mary calls me. She sounded a little upset and told me 4 bombs went off and she wanted to make sure i was ok. so we find out that 4 "explosions" happened but no one was hurt or killed. I think it was just fake bombs or something went wrong, but im still not sure what really happened. Then since we couldnt use the tube station we walked about 1 hour and 1/2 all the way back to notting hill! so that was yesterday and i have to admit i am a little more scared now, i mean not really but i thought it would be just a one time thing but now that it happened again im not sure how 100% safe i feel. But im still probably not as worried as i should be, I will still probably ride the tube and im sure nothing will happen.
Today we went to Oxford! it was really fun just to see all the history and to think of how many smart famous people went there. We walked around just one of the campuses and it was so cool looking. AND we saw the room where they filmed Harry Potter...it was the great hall for the 1st two movies! i was so EXCITED! Then we went punting! it is like where you have this huge pole and you push yourself along the river...kind of like what they do in Italy. It is some kind of passtime that all the oxford students do! AND there was this HOT HOT HOT guy working and he just graduated oxford...so he was smart and HOT which equals my new love!!! Well the down part of today was I found out that some man got killed or shot by police. Apparently he was running to the tube station and the police shot him because either he had a bomb or he was a suspect i have no idea. I dont really have tv and i havent had a chance to read the news on the web. but holy cow what is going on in the world. just keep praying and hopefully I will come home in one piece! luv you all!

so yesterday wasnt too eventful in London...went out with some girls and Mary and that was exciting because we went with this guy named Felix. He works at a pub close to our place and is very nice and kinda reminds you of Napolian, but real nice. We got to meet his grandparents too because he is living with them while he works in London. the cutest bristish grandparents in the world! Today we are going to the London eye where you can see all of london , its like a huge ferris wheel!
Anyways Paris! everyday we were there we ate Crepes, ice cream, and baguettes! soo good i gained like 10pounds. On thursday we went to the Champs Elysees and saw the parade with helicopters and jets. It was Bastille Day on the 14th so everything had the french flag on it...then we went to the Louvre and just sat in the gardens and took naps and chilled. We didnt actually go in because it take 9months to do the while musuem and we didnt want to pay just to see the mona lisa and leave. That night we went to the Latin Quarter and hung out. There were so many people and the food was soooooo delicious! everyone was dancing and there was a band playing and they were playing American music and they were all so cute. Then we went back to the Louvre to watch the fireworks! The Eiffel looked awesome with things shooting from the top and the sides. We went to a real French market the next day and went to Musee de Orsey and saw monet, and degas, and more!!! AMAZING!!!!! Then that night we went on a bike tour!! the one that Brit told me about! It was SOOOOO much fun, we went to the paris night one and OMG so great. We went all over paris and we got on a boat down the seine and had red wine! which i might of had to much and kinda almost killed myself trying to ride the bike. Then we went out with these two South Africa guys who were sooo funny and fun! Got a little lost on the taxi but figured it out by using my wonderful french speaking skills. um went to Monmarte the next day and saw Sacre Couer, ps i am probably spelling all these french words wrong. sorry! We had the best salad of my life the last night and a bottle of wine! yummy! Of course there is more to tell you guys but i will fill in the holes when i get back! it was just truly the best timee of my life and Paris is my heart! Another thing the Parisians were all so nice to us, icant tell you how many people said we were beautiful and that they loved us. I speak no French other than the few words from high school and the French were all still so nice and really helpful! see ya soon

alright guys sooo i haven't updated in FOREVER! so let me think Monday night the 11th Mary came and slept over...it was soo much fun...just because we were in London and giggling in my room, i felt like a little girl again. Ne ways woke up Tuesday and Mary and I got bagles and ate in the park...quite cool. Then I had class which i guess i havent really been telling you guys about. So political science is sooo interesting, we talk about the news in the first 15mins and then we learn. I know a ton about the british govt...ps way crazy the way they run things, and now we are about to learn of France govt. Theatere is fun but a little uncomfertable, because it isnt quite like intro as in history or ne thing but it is more like intro to the way to understand shakespeare and digging deep into each line. Which is cool because i have never done anything like that but we all have monologes so speaking out loud and trying to act and talk like shakespeare is difficult...but the challenege is exciting! Ne ways Tuesday the 12th everyone was getting ready for midterms the next day and studying, not to mention mary and I were going to PARIS the next day. So i called Christophe, who by the way is a guy that we are staying with in his apartment that my aunt knows from a friend of a friend, so that already was nerve racking and who knows who this guy is. But it was free...i finally got in touch with him and decided to meet at this statue at the odeon station. so ran around all day tuesday getting things ready and went off to study for polisci!
woke up wed took my test and got ready for the train. Met mary at work and went to the 3:11pm train at waterloo. Got on the train went to the 6th coach and both got a little thing of white wine, which made the ride go by much faster! got to paris around 7pm at the Gare du Nord station and let me tell you I was sooo excited i felt like crying because i was finally in PARIS!!!!! so...i know that doesnt explain much but tomm i will explain in detail soon of everyday in paris because it was AMAZING...the best time of my life...but i have to have a ton of time to explain everything so that will come soon!
But today we woke up got on a bus at 9am and drove 2 hrs to Canterbury and saw a cathedral where a priest died blah and blah i mean it was interesting but not really at least when you compare it to PARIS! then we drove 45mins to Leeds Castle which again was cool to see and real castle but again nothing compared to PARIS!!! but now i am going to bed and i will update soon with everything about paris! love ya guys!!!!

cheers friends! so Sunday we left Stratford and ventured to Blenheim Palace. This is where Churchill grew up and lived. It was very interesting to see this huge place. It is like 2100 acres, has its own rose and secret garden. A butterfly house, a small train on the grounds, and a victory statue. I mean this family as rich, and churchill was a very lucky man. He was already in line to be a Duke, then he was Prime minister, and then he was a very good artist. Hallmark even asked if they could use his pictures as cards. I mean some people just have everything! We came back to London and Mary and her friend Adrian met up with us at Prince Albert's. It was a cool pub and it was really fun. It was a group of 8 girls so it was nice to just sit outside and drink strawberry Fruli!
Today I had class, and found out that midterms is the Wed! blah to that! i then held an ab class in the lobby...kinda funny...but the girls really wanted me to so eh why not. Then we all went run/walk in the park. We later went to Westminster Abbey Church...we sat in for the 5pm Evensong service. It was very calming and meditation like feel. The place is beautiful too. got some good pics of Big Ben and now I am back in the apt typing! well hope everyone else is well...miss ya!

Hello friends! so I am in a cute little town call Stratford upon avon. Shakespeare was born and burried here. kinda cool but kinda boring. Its interesting but I mean touching the bowl where he was baptized doesnt really thrill me. But this town is soo cute a little. 15 mins max to get to the other end. We are staying in a bed and breakfast and OMG the rooms are heaven. so cute with little pillows and windows and comfy blankets and towels. This morning we had homemade breakfast!!!! OMG sooo good, friend tomatos, bacon, eggs, english breakfast tea, toast, mmmmmm!!!

We saw a midsummer night's dream last night...kinda boring/ slash weird/ not as good as the book...not as magical but not too bad. We then all went out to the Rose and Crown and had some drinks...way fun, but british guys are way funny when they dance, think of Marsha Brady! got some sleep and woke bright and early for the tour of shakespeare's birthplace...yeah...then went and sat by the river and some shopping now im going to take a nap and at 730pm go see Twelfth Night..hopefully it will be good...cross your fingers that i dont fall asleep! well tomm afternoon i will be back in London and i hope all will be back to normal...love ya guys! Cheers
